The good thing with God is that he will equip you with the help that you need to have his wish or desire to come to pass in his life. For the prophet Isaiah of spoke by the spirit of God saying, He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak (Isaiah 40:29 NIV). For God will give you strength by his mighty spirit. All you have to do is ask it of him. For Jesus wrote, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24). And he will give you the strength that you need. God’s strength originates from his Word. For Jesus wrote, men do not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Mathew 4:4). If you accept his son, Jesus Christ as your savior, follow the Lord’s teachings, read, understand, and practice God’s word, his strength will come.
There was one news report that came out recently stating something to the effect that prayer is not enough. And there is some truth to this statement. Prayer may not be enough if you don’t mix it with faith in God’s word. For Faith without works is dead (James 2:17). You have to put in action what you believe. For when you request something from the Lord you have to ensure that your life, your behavior, your speech, your belief is in line with what God desires. For if you don’t you will short circuit the power of God in your life.
For God desires that you follow his word and his desire to the best of your abilities. When you seek his will with all of your heart and present your best, he will honor this and work on your behalf. For the apostle Paul writes, his strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). For there is something that separates you as a child of God from this world. That something is your relationship with the creator of heaven and earth. Since he is now your father (by rebirth) you are now part of the family of God with rights of a son. These rights set you apart.
Now, in this life there are many that choose not listen or obey God’s instructions on how to live life. They choose not to seek first the Kingdom of Heaven and have temporary success. The enemy blinds their eyes to the truth of life. For while we live in this life it may seem like there is a sense of finality. But life truly does not end. For God has created us in his image which is spirit that never dies. If you choose to go down the opposite path that he recommends you will ultimately end up in eternal separation from him. For the person or entity that desires to lead you away from the Lord is in direct opposition to the Lord. For Jesus describes this entity as a thief who steals, kills, and destroys. Please don’t trust him or his suggestions. For even though success comes there will be a price.
Well we’re out of time and will have to continue next time. This blog was based upon a message by Minister Jason Hopkins.
The Lord bless you
and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”
