These words were written to a church that had to go through these realities. This passage reaffirms God’s love for his people. No matter where we are, life’s challenges shouldn’t drive us away from God but usher us closer to him. Being a Christian does not promise a life of lily white roses. If anything, it almost guarantees that you will be faced with storms, resistance, difficulties and trials. But the good news is that our savior, Jesus Christ was acquainted with sufferings. And that he is more than able to help, deliver, and sustain us. For we know that with the Lord, he will make a way of escape for us. The more the enemy brings against us the more the power of God will be manifest. He’s going to be right there to deliver us.
Paul exclaims that it is impossible to be separated from the Lord’s presence. So we can feel totally secure in him. Even when we mess up. The Adversary (Devil) wants you to believe that you can’t run back to the Lord but this is not true. For always remember when these thoughts, ideas and suggestions come to you that they are not from the Lord. They are from the Adversary who is a liar and all lies originate from him. Know that if the Lord loves you (and he does) he will never leave you alone. He will continually strive to draw you closer to him and protect you. We must be strong and choose not to believe in the lies that the Adversary brings. You must resist the Adversary by following the teachings of Christ and meditating on his promises. These words and promises are contained in the bible. But as we live in this evil world, he will also perform the practical. For when evil comes, the Lord will provide us with protection by sending us his mighty angels to guard and guide us.
We must continue Believe this and you will not be afraid. Neither angels, demons, fears, powers of hell, can separate us from God’s love. Forces: Ephesians 6:12 – no flesh and blood, mighty powers in dark world. Not even demons can separate us.
