As we live as a spiritual foreigner within this life we inevitably become burdened with cares that weigh down our hearts, minds, and souls. Be it economic, familial, or psychological, it is a burden none the less. Life circumstances bombard us with challenges that test our faith, love and hope. The good news is that even though we are tested on every side, we should always remember that God our Father is always present. For if God be for us who can be against us (Romans 8:31 KJV).
One of the benefits of being a child of God is that we have continual communication and fellowship with him at any moment in life. If we will only speak and live for him. When we do this, we can ask what we will that is line with His will and he will answer. But when we pray, many times we don’t know what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (Romans 8:26 KJV). I praise God for this, for He is always present to help, all we have to do is take our request to Him and do what we know we can in faith.
A friend of mine had been weighed down for many months because of the various circumstances on her job. Colleagues threatened to take her position, placed her with a client who was the most physically and psychologically aggressive amongst her peers. In response, my friend went to the Lord in prayer and he gave her favor with this client where no one else had. The client’s behaviors were under control and relative peace reigned. As a result, many tried to take this position from her and countered that she wasn’t performing her duties to their standards. She knew this wasn’t correct and discussed the situation with her boss but received no support. When you have done all that you know how to do, pray to the Lord and stand in faith.
My friend went to the church elders and discussed the situation. In response, they labored in prayer to Lord through prayer in the Spirit. One day after these circumstances unfolded, the Spirit of the Lord touched the heart of the company’s Executive Director and another position was created. Not only this, the Lord blessed my friend to rest from work for two weeks with pay before starting this new position created for her.
Let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Dear friends, don’t faint but continue!
