Ezekiel 37: 1-14 (NKJV)
The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”
4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.6 I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”’”
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.
9 Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.
11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’”
The dry bones of the people and the renewing of your spirt. We can talk about that today for we have been serving God a long time but it seems like nothing is happening for there is a place dryness.
Let those who hear have an ear to hear what you say. Thus saith the Lord
If you have been in the word you should have heard these scriptures a long time ago. It’s our responsibility to repeat the word less you forget. You have to get the inside together before you can get the outside together. You have to hear the word over and over again. So you can adjust to it. See it, hear it….over and over again.
The more you focus in on God’s word, then you will start living it and doing it. Some condemn others because they have read it multiple times. It only matters when the bible becomes Rhema to you and it changes your lifestyle. Some people can sing songs and the next minute they turn on you. Then after turning, they go back and sing about Jesus. It’s not how you say something but what’s inside that will come out. Don’t be a Pharasee or a scribe – be real.
Renewing of your spirit. God can renew us to that place where we first believed. You can be so in the Lord. Somewhere down the way can become off centered and miss the mark – due to the cares of this world. We need to re-adjust ourselves. Let’s focus on new ideas each month to stir us in the right direction. The reason I’m living right is that I don’t want to be lost. Through this year we experienced a lot of people dying. Some may not have made it. But you can see them by their fruit. We are trying to keep us together so that we will not be lost. Each year will need to stir ourselves. I listen to other ministers as well. As long as they are teaching the word and conforming with the word of God. Search the scriptures to see if they are confirming the Word.
You need someone to encourage you and not weak minded people talking about their problems. When you pray for people that are sick, in praying for them, God blesses you. God will then take care of your needs. We were there praying for the sick and she started talking about how sick the lady on the sick bed was. B.B. King sung a song I’m down and out. We don’t need to talk blues when we are trying to get out. God doesn’t do that. Speak life and move on.
